FUMAKEN: 4 Seasons
F — Flowers (Spring)
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom when Fuma found Kento sitting under a tree, petals scattering in his hair.
“You’ve been here for hours,” Fuma said, handing him a canned coffee.
Kento smiled, looking up at the sky. “I like watching them fall. It feels like the world’s slowing down for a bit.”
Fuma sat beside him, plucking a stray petal from his hair. “If you wanted me to sit with you, you could’ve just asked.”
Kento turned to Fuma, slightly looking up at him. “Would you have said yes?”
Fuma didn't look back, but he said firmly. “Always.”
U — Under the Sun (Summer)
The heat was brutal, but they’d promised each other a day at the beach.
Kento stretched out on a towel, sunglasses in place, while Fuma came back from the vending machine with two bottles of cold tea.
“You’re turning red,” Fuma pointed out.
“Sun-kissed,” Kento corrected.
“Sunburned,” Fuma replied, dropping a bottle into his hand. “You’re putting on sunscreen again or I’m doing it for you.”
Kento laughed. “You just want an excuse to touch me.”
Fuma snorted, but didn't protest when Kento gave him the sunscreen. “Maybe.”
M — Maple Leaves (Autumn)
They were on location for a shoot, the air crisp and filled with the scent of fallen leaves.
Kento kicked at a pile of red and orange maple leaves, sending them into the air. “It feels like a drama scene.”
Fuma, hands in pockets, chuckled. “You are dramatic enough for it, Nakajima.”
Kento rolled his eyes, but when a gust of wind sent a flurry of leaves between them, Fuma caught one and tucked it behind Kento’s ear.
A — All Wrapped Up (Winter)
Snow fell softly as they walked home from rehearsal, Kento shivering despite wearing his coat.
Without a word, Fuma unwound his own scarf and looped it around Kento’s neck, adjusting it until it covered half his face.
“You’ll freeze,” Kento mumbled from behind the scarf.
“I’m fine,” Fuma said, tucking his hands into his pockets. “Besides, it looks better on you.”
Kento’s cheeks warmed, and it wasn’t from the scarf.
K — Koi (Spring again)
They visited a small park between shoots, where koi fish swam lazily in the pond.
“Looks peaceful,” Kento murmured, leaning on the railing.
Fuma stood beside him, watching the sunlight ripple over the water. “Kind of like us lately.”
Kento smiled sideways. “You’re comparing us to fish now?”
“Expensive, pretty fish. Take the compliment.”
Kento just laughed, the kind of laugh that Fuma secretly loved. Loud. Alive. Beautiful.
E — Evening Breeze (Summer again)
The night was warm, but the breeze off the river kept it comfortable. They sat on a bench, half-finished ice creams in hand, watching fireflies drift in the dark.
“This feels like a date,” Kento said lightly.
Fuma smirked. “That’s because it is.”
Kento blinked, then hit Fuma's shoulder while having flushed cheeks, but didn’t deny it.
N — New Year (Winter again)
They stood outside the shrine after the countdown, the air cold enough to sting their cheeks.
Fuma’s breath fogged as he glanced at Kento. “Made a wish?”
“Yeah,” Kento said, eyes glinting. “That you’ll still be here next year.”
Fuma’s lips curved into a small smile. “That’s not a wish, Nakajima. That’s a guarantee.”
The End.
